History

Management Team Xentech Solutions Limited was founded in 2007 by an experienced team with many years collective experience in the Telecoms and Datacoms industry, developing complex electronic products for major multi-national Telecoms Equipment Manufacturers. Having worked for both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design/Manufacturers (ODMs) they have a unique insight into the relationships, issues and solutions required to build a successful partnership between the OEM and the Manufacturer.

In the Datacom and Telecom sectors, advanced Merchant Silicon has enabled smaller OEMs to compete with the Tier 1 vendors. OEMs are outsourcing development work because of internal bandwidth limitations, or because they require specialised skills which may not be core to the business. Contract Manufacturers (CMs) are interested in the OEM business if there is little cost associated with the development work required, and the ODMs may not be interested if the volumes are too low or do not match their business model.

Xentech identified an emerging gap in the market for growing OEMs who wish to outsource their product development, but who are unable to find a suitable partner. Xentech Solutions will bridge the gap between the OEM and the Contract Manufacturer by providing a Smart Design Service to the client, allowing the OEM to benefit from the outsourced development, and the Contract Manufacturer to benefit from a proven, production-ready design.
